We left Green Turtle Marina at about 9 am and set off for No Name Cay to swim with the pigs. We dropped anchor just off the beach and took the dinghy to the beach. At which point, Simon realised that he did not have the memory card in the camera so he had to return to the Odyssea leaving me at the beach. Some very nice people from North Carolina offered me a cold beer whilst I was waiting.
Simon soon returned and the pigs came out to us as we had a bag full of apples, which they loved! Much more scrummy than all that bread that everyone else took. It was awesome to be so close to the pigs and we managed to avoid being bitten, well by the pigs at least, not so sure about the mosquitoes! We also had a tin of corn to feed the chickens.
Once back at the Odyssea, a dip in the crystal clear sea from the back of the boat.
Whenever we are cruising in the Odyssea, we always drop a line out just in case we get lucky. Well we thought we had got lucky when we heard the reel scream, but after 20 minutes of fighting what was surely an enormous tuna, Simon managed to land a moderate but feisty Hound fish, ferocious looking, but totally useless as far as eating goes. Better luck next time.
We returned to Marsh Harbour and the Conch Inn Marina in the hope of a fix to our generator problem tomorrow. We ended our day with a visit to the wonderully relaxed Colours restaurant.
...with its atmospheric evening views.
